About Lifer

Lifer is a combination of the words ‘life‘ and ‘better‘. And that’s exactly what Lifer is about: making life more fun, more interesting, and more fulfilling. But not in a boring way!

Lifer is all about playfully improving life, without having to spend hours on end. The concept is simple: every day, we present you with a quick challenge. If you choose to accept, you’ll probably have an interesting, worthwhile experience.

Behind each challenge there is a psychological mechanism that will positively influence your wellbeing. There are 16 mechanisms behind the challenges, ranging from social life to positivity to physical wellbeing. As you accept more and more challenges, you’ll probably find your life improving. At least – that’s what we hope!

If you have any questions for us, have come up with a fun challenge, or simply want to get in touch, we’d love to hear from you at lifer.website@gmail.com
Or check out and follow the Insta! @lifer_life.but.better

Lifer is the brainchild of Leonore de Wit and Sevin Ozmen, both working at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and passionate about student wellbeing.

Fun fact about the logo: do you see how the little leg of the ‘r’ is flipped upside down? That way, it more closely resembles a tree – which is the symbol for growth.

Thanks to Johnny, Bilal and Ayoub for building the site 🙂
