Lifer is one of many available mental health services at the VU. We all have the same mission: to improve student well-being at the VU. If you’re struggling with something or simply looking for some tools to improve your life, here are a few things you can do.
1. Check out Caring Universities. They currently offer 7 free online programmes:
Moodpep: Improve your mood and deal with depressive symptoms
GetStarted: Overcome procrastination and learn how to get started
LifeHack: Learn general lifeskills for improved well-being
Rel@x: Learn how to deal with and reduce stress
GetAGrip: Get a handle on all the things going on in your life
iSleep: A variety of techniques to sleep better
Solutionshop: The solutions to 13 corona-related problems
Go to the Caring Universities platform to sign up for a program of your choice. It’s 100% free, no waitlist, and you even get a real-life personal coach.

2. You can make an appointment with the student psychologists at the VU, this is also a free service.
3. Visit the Student Well-being Point on the Campus and see what they can offer you. Yes, it’s a physical place you can visit!
4. Keep doing Lifer challenges. Embedded in each challenge is a psychological mechanism related to your well-being, ranging from positivity to physical health to social relationships. Tip: they’re even better if you do them together!
